Check to Espionage
Any person, Frenchman or foreigner, who, in abuse of his official or professional capacity, delivers or communicates to any unauthorized person any object or secret information involving the defense of French territory or the external security of France, or who publishes such object or information, shall, if a new law is passed by the Chamber of Deputies, be guilty of espionage and punished accordingly.
The new law is intended to supplement the Espionage law of 1886 which merely prescribed "delivery of secret plans, writings or documents."
