Suddenly a few weeks ago letters began coming from the Postoffice with BRITISH GOODS ARE THE BEST stamped on them in the cancellation marking. Last week a storm blew up. Some had discovered--who could have believed it?--some one had discovered--was it deliberate treason? some one had discovered that the machines which stamped patriotic legend were made in the U. S., had replaced British-made canceling machines.
