Civic Names
The U. S. Chamber of Commerce announced last week that American cities are changing their names more rapidly than of yore, 63 changes having been made in 1920-1925, as compared with 13 changes in 1915-1920. None the less there are still duplicate names: 31 Franklins, 27 Madisons, 25 Clevelands, 24 Monroes, 23 Wilsons, 18 Paris', 18 Genevas, 17 Berlins, 15 Adams', 13 Roosevelts, 12 Tafts, 12 Moscows, 11 Londons, 6 Pekins, 5 Hardings, 2 Brussels'.
