"Boche"
Not "Is it immoral?" but "Is it impolitie?" ask French police of themselves when called upon to act as censors. "It is impolitie," decided the Parisian police last week, when a War film appeared with Germans called "Boches" in several subtitles. "Henceforth," announced the Prefect of Police, "the term 'Boche' will not be tolerated in any stage or screen production shown in Paris, since the expression is one militating against international concord."
Thus far no U. S. film censor is known to have struck out "Heinie," "Squarehead," "Fritzie," "Hun."
