The House Week

Work Done. The House of Representatives last week:

P:Passed a bill authorizing $25,000 to be spent policing the Hoover inauguration. P:Passed a bill authorizing additional appropriations for vocational education. P:Passed a bill transferring certain Indian claims in Idaho, Kansas and Oregon to the U. S. Court of Claims for settlement. P:Passed a bill covering settlement by Interior Department of damage claims from Federal irrigation works on Indian-owned land.

P:Passed many a minor Indian Affairs bill.

P:Disagreed to the Senate amendments to the First Deficiency Appropriation bill and voted, 240 to 141, to send it to conference (see below).

P:Received and debated a $352,000,000 appropriation bill for the Navy Department (see below).
