A shrewd mob psychologist is Rt. Hon. Sir Joseph George Ward, George V's Prime Minister in New Zealand.* Compulsory military training has lately been a hot subject for discussion in the Antipodes. He arranged that any "conchy" (conscientious objector) not desiring to drill with the military, should drill with the Salvation Army, receive "training in social service," learn to sing hosannahs, jingle tambourines, sell The War Cry (Salvation weekly).
