ROSS PEROT has become so consumed with national politics that he may not be paying enough attention to his computer-services company. New business for Perot Systems Corp. has trailed off, foul-ups have eaten into the profits on some major contracts, and a public stock offering has been postponed indefinitely. Analysts say the firm is undergoing a thorough restructuring and needs a strong hand to take control of things. Says one analyst: "The company really doesn't know what it wants to be."
